जब कोई जीवन में गलती करता है तो उसके आस-पास के लोगों का कर्तव्य है कि वह उसे जीवन में सही रास्ता दिखाए।

उन्हें ऐसे रास्ते पर ले जाना चाहिए जहां वे अपनी पिछली गलती को सुधार सकें। कभी प्यार से तो कभी सजा से ऐसा करना चाहिए.

लेकिन कभी-कभी एक समाज के तौर पर हम यह समझ नहीं पाते कि उचित सज़ा क्या होगी। सज़ा देते समय हम यह भूल जाते हैं कि हम दयालु और न्यायप्रिय रहे हैं।

मैक्सिम गोर्की ने अपनी लघुकथा वार्ता "भंडाफोड़" में अपने जीवन की ऐसी ही एक घटना के बारे में लिखा है। यह हमें उन कुछ प्रथाओं पर सवाल खड़ा करता है जिन्हें हमने एक समाज के रूप में अपनाया है। हमें हमेशा खुद से पूछना चाहिए. क्या हम वह शैतान बन गए जिसे हम कभी ख़त्म करना चाहते थे?

When someone makes a mistake in life, it is the duty of people around them to show them the right path in life.

They should guided to a path where they can correct their past mistake. Sometimes, this should be done with love, sometimes with punishment.

But sometimes as a society, we fail to understand what would be an appropriate punishment. We forget that we have be compassionate, kind and just while punishing.

Maxim Gorky, in his short story talk " Bhandafod" write about such an incident from his life. It makes us question some of the practices that we have adopted as a society. We should always ask ourselves. Did we become the devil that we once wanted eridicate?
