Our guest this week is Raghu Mohan CEO of IBC Media out of Bengaluru India. Raghu’s background in media and education includes time as an editor at the leading Indian tech startup publication YourStory and with Udacity. IBC Media’s products include India’s largest Blockchain events in the International Blockchain Congress and Genesis DevCon as well as T-Block accelerator. The focus of the conversation is the recent Supreme Court ruling in India that reversed what had been the status quo put in place by a prior Reserve Bank of India ruling for the past three years. Raghu puts it into context for us, clearly analyzing the rulings, the bodies involved and the implication for bitcoin businesses in India with one of the more significant implications being the way that bitcoin exchanges in India are allowed to operate. We also discuss India as a market for Bitcoin and the media landscape there.
