In this episode, I had the pleasure of talking with health coach, Joe Loye, about the challenges and biases that people with larger bodies face when trying to pursue fitness and changes in health, especially when they are not intentionally trying to lose weight. Joe has lived experience as someone with a larger body and so he has some special insight to bring to this discussion that I am sure will resonate with so many other men out there who have struggled in this area. Make sure to follow him on social media and reach out to just say, "Hi" and that you enjoyed the episode.
Joe Loye is an Educator and Health Coach who helps plus-size people achieve a healthy lifestyle through an anti-diet approach that emphasizes body respect and food confidence. In our discussion, he explains "food confidence" which is a term I absolutely love!
