Hosea's story is pretty powerful because it is a representation of God's love. Most of the prophets in those days were tasked with being an adviser to the king. However, Hosea was told by God to marry a prostitute, Gomer. If that command wasn't tough enough for Hosea, God even tells him to buy Gomer back from her life of sin when she decided to go back to it.
