Job has always been a figure of suffering in the Bible. God allowed Job to be tested because God knew that Job was a righteous man and no matter what happened, Job would not leave God. The story of Job gives us perspective that at times we can be like Job but sometimes we can be like his wife or his friends. How are we like Job's wife or his friends? Are we being team players or do we put in our two cents in people's situations right away?

The story of Job is very relatable in 2020 and 2021 where we do not know or understand why the world has to go through a pandemic. Is this a test or is it punishment? We may never find out the answer in this lifetime but are we willing to trust that ultimately at the end, God will always be glorified? It is only AFTER we suffer will we understand that the glory is MUCH BETTER than the suffering.
