Jesus has all authority in heaven and earth. When we commit to follow Him, we choose to recognize and respect His authority over our lives. We are constantly tempted to take back authority and do whatever we want. Reading and receiving God's Word returns authority to Jesus. We need the teaching and receiving of God's Word every week when we're together.
