Revelation part 5: The Seven Trumpets
Revelation 8:1 1And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
· There is a silence in Heaven – this is the first and only time this will happen.
· Why is there a silence? Remember, there was an interlude, 144,000 Jews were saved and a “great multitude” of Gentiles were saved. Remember, God is Righteous and He takes no pleasure in destroying the wicked.
· Ezekiel 33:11 11Say unto them, As I live, saith the LORD God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?
· We are about to begin the Great Tribulation. 30 minutes, Heaven is silent. The number 30 is often associated with mourning
o Numbers 20:29 29And when all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, they mourned for Aaron thirty days, even all the house of Israel.
o Deuteronomy 34:8 8And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.
· There is a contrast between death of God’s children
· Judgment is coming there is a silence before the storm if you will.
There is a connection to these trumpets and Israel, not the Church
