David, the Victorious King

In David we see a picture of an unexpected warrior. David defeated a seemingly unbeatable enemy with courageous faith in the power of God. In the New Testament we see that Jesus was the greater warrior whom no one expected to win the victory over sin and death. Through Jesus death and resurrection God is mighty to save.

God often wins the victory through unlikely heroes so that all glory goes to Him.
