1 Samuel 7-10

God is the one true king, and He alone is able to lead His people as they need.

When the people of Israel demanded a king to be like the nations around them, they failed to understand that God had called them to be a set-apart people among the nations, ruled by a greater king. Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of lords, reigning perfectly over His people who, through their trust in Him, are part of a kingdom without end.
