2 Peter 1:19-21; 2 Timothy 3:16-17.
God's Word is truly sufficient. It's the source that not only gives us "a knowledge of God," but it's also the source that's been "granted to us" so that we might know "all things that pertain to life and godliness" (2 Peter 1:3). But for many they view the Bible as insufficient and unfortunately this wrong conclusion leads them to make God's Word subservient to everything else instead of submitting everything else to the authority of God and His Word. Bible sufficiency is a crucial doctrine that informs how we navigate the current cultural issues of racism, justice, reconciliation, and so on. We don't have to move beyond our Bibles for answers on what to believe, feel, and do in regard to these matters.
