The crowds are casting palms and shouting "Hosanna, king of kings" and such as Jesus enters the city of Jerusalem. It's a parade. There is great excitement as he enters. The scene described by John is suggested to be the fulfilling of Old Testament prophecy and helps validate that Jesus is the promised Messiah. But, isn't it interesting out quickly things can change?
