One marked difference between modern translations is the way in which the translators go about the process of textual criticism. Questions like, "are the oldest manuscripts the closest to the original, or should the manuscripts be weighed so that the majority has the loudest voice? Should the church put more stock in the manuscripts that were recently discovered or those that have been used for generations?" This class will attempt to walk through these difficult issues and explain how textual criticism works.
