Biblical theology is built upon a simple linear timeline. It has a real historical beginning; it has a radically apocalyptic ending; and it has cross-shaped center. If we embrace the cross in this age, we will be saved from the wrath to come and inherit eternal life. This is technically termed cruciform-apocalypticism.
