President Biden made Donald Trump the centerpiece of his speech to the nation on the anniversary of the January 6th Insurrection, making clear that Trump was responsible for the violent attempt to overthrow our government, and also that Biden was rededicating his presidency, at least in part, towards defending American democracy and the threat it faces from Trump and the Republican party that is in his thrall.
