Welcome to season 4 of the Central PA Pour!
Episode 1 - Gunpowder Falls Brewing
Dave and Bret had an educational and exciting interview with Martin Virga from Gundpowder Falls Brewing in New Freedom, PA. Martin is brewing up traditional German Style lager beers and following the German Purity Law (Reinheitsgebot) with just four ingredients: water, malt, hops and yeast.
We find out Martin's path on where and how he learned to brew these traditional styles. In Germany of course! He even teaches us a little German, even though we didn't understand what he said (LOL). If you're looking for great traditional beers and authentic German food, this is a must visit place and we can't wait to get there.
Martin brought along his light lager, export light, a pilsner and his schwarzbier.
