It’s showtime prep! In this episode, I go over the rules for four hit Amigo games I’ll be teaching at the upcoming convention. This is my personal run-through to lock in the flow, iron out any tricky teaching moments, and make sure I can present each game clearly and confidently. Whether you’re reviewing with me or just curious about these titles, I’ve got the mechanics covered.
Games Covered (in order):
1️⃣ Saboteur
Dive into a world of tunnels, hidden roles, and tactical sabotage. I’ll explain how to set it up, guide players through the miner vs. saboteur conflict, and offer tips for keeping the bluffing fresh and fair.
2️⃣ No Thanks
A quick, deceptively simple card game where players try to dodge points with the help of chips—and mind games. I’ll break down the rules, teach risk management strategies, and show how just saying “no thanks” isn’t always the best call.
3️⃣ Cabanga
Speed, reflexes, and pattern recognition collide in this lively shouting game. I walk through how rounds work, how to teach the rules quickly, and what keeps the “Cabanga!” energy going strong.
4️⃣ Three Chapters
Storytelling with structure. This unique Amigo title leads players through a three-phase narrative challenge. I explain how to teach tone shifts, rule transitions between chapters, and how to keep players immersed without derailing the plot.
