Years ago, I had a dream of sharing the Good News with tens of thousands of people in Central Park, in New York City. At the time, this was a wild dream. In fact, people around me might have thought I was crazy for such a dream. But God placed that dream on my heart as a teenager, and I believed it was something that could happen.

Fast forward nearly five decades to the summer of 2015 and that crazy dream became a reality. During New York CityFest, hundreds and hundreds of churches, dozens of singers and musical artists, and even the mayor of New York joined me on the Great Lawn – along with thousands of others, who heard the Good News that day. I still get chills thinking of it and watching the DVD playbacks.

The point of this story is not to toot my own horn. Rather, the point of this story is to share about the power of Jesus Christ. When you are walking in Jesus and listening openly to the dreams He places on your heart, you better believe that He can make those dreams a reality. Spend time alone with God. Listen to the Holy Spirit through the Word. Ephesians 6:10 says, “Finally, ne strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.” In other words, trust Him to carry out the plans He has for you.
