SUPERHIT MUQABLA was India's first musical countdown show on television. It premiered on Doordarshan's Metro Channel in 1993. The first show was anchored by Baba Sehgal and then the show went on to discover new VeeJays like Krrutika Desai, Sajid Khan and Bali Brahmbhatt. Many film stars like Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Anil Kapoor, Chunky Pandey and Shilpa Shetty also guest hosted the show.
