Originally aired 2/24/26: Mary welcomes author, speaker, consumer and privacy advocate Katherine Albrecht to the podcast. Her eyes on tech back in 2005 have been an invaluable resource for prophecy watchers. Here’s some 20th century trivia for you: Did you know that the Theremin, that odd instrument that eventually produced the eerie high-pitched wails for early sci-fi films and a certain Beach Boys hit, was invented by a Soviet spy to transmit military secrets back home as early as the late ‘20s? Truth is often stranger than fiction and radio frequency tech, the true startup of our surveillance age, contains enough dots to connect to keep us busy for years. Katherine is a true expert in all such things, and her book, “Spychips” served as a warning 20 years ago that not only is Big Brother a stalker but keeps stabbing us all in the back.

[Original airdate: 7/11/25] Mary welcomes back Todd Nettleton of Voice of the Martyrs to give us perspective on one of those things that should drive us to our knees: our persecuted brethren around the world. Todd is the Chief of Media Relations and Message Integration for The Voice of the Martyrs—USA and host of The Voice of the Martyrs Radio. Todd serves as an advocate for persecuted Christians, inspiring US Christians with the faithfulness of Christ’s followers in 70+ nations where they face persecution for wearing His name. VOM is constantly ministering to and providing resources for our church family that has truly counted the cost of serving Jesus Christ. We talk about the latest hotspots, some of the faces and stories he encounters, and how the church can come alongside. In the 2nd half of the podcast, Mary wraps up another week with some pertinent headlines, including some fascinating stories about Britain’s lead in technology, the ramping up of violence toward American churches, and Pope Leo’s green agenda. NO VIDEO PODCAST TODAY.

Mary welcomes back John Haller to get a glimpse of where his depth of research has him this week. While it seems that things are raging out of control on many fronts — there’s no reason to believe that is not absolutely true. Turkey: are they saying they are technically at war with Israel? This week brings us a sound byte that says they want to control Jerusalem; another says that Israel is destabilizing the entire region. They sure have a lot to say about everything and we wonder how much of it is even true. As to who is friends with whom and who is an enemy in the region among Russia, Turkey, Syria and Lebanon, it is difficult to say. We also talk about Ai backlash – I call it a summer “Hate Wave” – what is really going on behind the scenes? Have people had enough of these oligarchs running their future? Data Clouds: what are those, and why. Massive amounts of money are being thrown around among competitors for cloud data but maybe they are all on the same side. People are feeling like it is out of control on a massive scale, and the church has stopped caring or discerning. Will there be fuel shortages this summer? Warnings are out there that by mid July there could be rationing. Then there is Iran: why is it no one can follow what is going on? Are all the confusing headlines by design, and why does it seem Trump doesn’t even have a handle on it? Today’s edition of SUFTT is an attempt to bring order to global chaos. Is it possible?

Today’s news cycle continues on its merry way in forcing politics and politicians to the forefront of everything, and what happens then of course is the truly significant stories just don’t get any airing. In our ongoing effort to do an end run around all the temporal things the media thinks we want to hear about, once again we bring things around to prophecy and eternal things. Today we look at Spielberg’s “Disclosure” film which opens this week. The real show for believers is what he is saying about the church and his attempts to cause us to “question our beliefs” about how many gods might be out there. Which would be laughable if he weren’t so sincerely arrogant about it. Should Christians bother to see it? That depends. We also look at Elon Musk’s opinion that technology is “Jesus level” stuff. Meanwhile, down under, the believers are laying low. Is that an option, regardless of the personal cost? We also do a follow up on the Don Lemon invasion of that St. Paul church service. Double standards all around. Lots to talk about on this week’s headline episode of SUFTT.

[From 12/16/25] Mary welcomes back researcher, author and prophecy student Scott Townsend to chat specifically on Ai in the church. This is a murky subject, because the church has existed for over 2000 years and never once said to itself, “gee we need technology to carry out our mission in the world.” And it will always be so, because worship, discipleship, study and fellowship do not need any additives or preservatives. Yet here we are, ethically working through this thing that the whole world is coming under, as if on cue. The Bible, interestingly enough, only mentions the end game of it, we are in real time seeing its genesis. How can the prophecy student not be on the edge of their seats over this fulfillment in real time? We talk about the issues at hand that the church, which is not to be conformed to this world, had better take seriously in order to be truly effective and rely on our true source of power, the Holy Spirit.

Feeling unsteady, like the earth itself is moving beneath? You are not alone. Despite the fact that the Bible predicts an increase in seismic activity, that’s not today’s topic. We try here on headline day to make a dent in the importance of a few of the biggest topics of the day, the biggest of which, on a global, historical, transformational level, is Ai. I hope we have succeeded in communicating a fraction of what it is, what it is quickly becoming, and why we have to care. The problem with a headline here or there, throwing names and companies out hoping we all remember the players somehow – is that doesn’t really give the big picture of why we should all be a bit gobsmacked by it – and educated. Tech IS undergirding our lives right now, at home and at work. In every corner of the world. Today we look at Matt Shumer’s viral February 9 article entitled, “Something Big is Happening”. And he is not wrong. Remember that big 70’s hit, “I Feel the Earth Move”? That’s also not wrong.

Today’s news cycle takes us beyond simple chatbot Ai and into the next wave: Agentic Ai. Simply trying to keep up with advances in Ai tends to give the impression that people are up 24 hours a day making changes to all the expectations, and rearranging what we think we know into something we cannot possibly truly understand. Ai is completely upending all we know about how the world works, and redefining everything from the military to the work world, to finances. So many questions are going unanswered, but from a human standpoint, what does it do to our uniqueness as human beings, our free will, our morality? Who is running this show? A full hour on tech that is will not be obsolete next week – but we might.

[Original airdate: 1/9/25] Mary Danielsen welcomes back Britt Gillette and his wealth of knowledge about all things economic. Today’s system that seems to be held together with duct tape reminds me of the children’s nursery rhyme that says, “when the bough breaks…” – and then spells out the end quite clearly. Considering that the economy now global impacts us all on earth, what might 2025 bring? The last couple years have seen threats of bank closures and the cancelling of accounts of those the globalists don’t like, namely, conservatives and Christians. Alarming enough, but there is so much more going on, in particular the over-valuation of the stock market. We will rely on Britt to help us sort that out, along with the real estate market, Asian economics and their stock markets, and how AI will affect the economy in the next several years. According to the IMF, AI is a game changer for labor in particular, but also how considerable funds will be poured into the global markets from everything tech. A complex subject made easier by Britt Gillette, because while most of us rely on our pocketbook to tell us things have gone haywire, we can also rely on people with his expertise to help us dig deeper. His extensive YouTube channel can be found here.
