“I know. Should we go visit the oracle and get advice?” Voca asked.

“You silly boy! Go get some beverages!” added Biggy.

“내 생각에 나무에 추가 세금을 부과시키는게 맞는거같에. 한 1조달러 정도? 독점금지 법은 있으면서 자연을 위한 법은 없잖아. 그건 불공평해! 사람들이 나무를 그만 파괴했으면 좋겠어. 내 생각에 악랄한 착취자보다도 더 한 사람들이야!” Voca 가 유창하게 말했다.

“내생각과 같아. 저 불쌍한 버려진 나무들을 봐. 난 그들을 도울 의향이 있어. 그들의 껍질이 안벗겨 졌으면 좋겠어. 항상 건강하게 자라야 할텐데,” Biggy가 말했다.

“맞아. 우리 귀중한 조언을 주시는 분께 가서 조언을 얻어볼래?” Voca 가 물었다.

“어휴 이 장난꾸러기야! 가서 마실것이나 가져와!” Biggy 가 덧붙혔다.

“있잖아, 난 저 비둘기들을 볼때마다 내 학교가 생각나. 우리 학교에 비둘기가 진짜 많았거든. 당연히 우리 선생님들은 학생들보고 비둘기들과 부딪히지도 말라고 하셨어, 왜냐하면 비둘기 몸엔 기생충들이 서식하고 있었거든. 아, 그리고 우리 과학 선생님께서는 게를 좋아하셨어서 교실안에서 게를 키우실 정도였다니까. 우리 숙어 선생님께서는 항상 우리에게 매춘을 하는것은 나쁘다고 가르쳐주시며 그것이 우리에게 손해를 입힐것이라고 했어. 그런데 모든 학생들이 선생님들의 말씀을 들었는데 한 학생은 듣질 않았어. 맞아, 모두는 그의 몰락을 예견했지. 그는 쓸모없는 바보일 뿐이였어,” Voca 가 그의 과거를 회상했다.

“너의 스토리를 들으니 우리 엄마가 생각나네. 우리 엄마는 요리하는걸 좋아하셔서 언제나 무언가를 튀기고 계셨어. 복숭아 드시는걸 좋아했고, 가장 좋아하는 색깔은 황색이였지. 수영도 되게 잘하셔서 하루는 가라앉는 배로부터 막대한 재화를 구출하셨다니까! 엄마의 수영 실력은 엄마에게 많은 도움이 되었어. 그녀는 우리 가족의 중심이였지. 나의 피난처였고. 포식자들로 부터 나를 항상 지켜주신 분이셔. 내가 잘못을 할때면 벌하시기도 했고. 만약 국가간의 연합이 우리 엄마를 고용했다면 정말 많은 도움을 받을 수 있었을거야,” Biggy 가 덧붙혔다.
