“넌 엉망진창이구나. 너무 깊은생각에 빠지지 마. 네 헤아리기 어려운 얼굴을 보는게 너무 싫어, 왜냐하면 익숙한 얼굴이 아니기 때문이야. 앙심을 품고 있지마. 니 기분을 풀어 주기 위해서 마을에 언제 갈지 날짜를 지금 정해줄께. 가서 조각칼을 사자!” Voca 가 소리쳤다.

“이제 조각칼을 사는건 내게 중요하지 않아. 내 삶은 쓸모없거든,” Biggy 가 말했다.

“Biggy, 넌 내 인생에 있어서 없어서는 안되는 사람이야. 넌 별보다 더 소중해. 그러니까 내말 듣자,” Voca 가 말했다.

“있잖아, 내 배는 지금 총 톤수를 넘어서서 지나치게 짐이 많이 실어진 느낌이야. 내 이상향은 언제나 올까. 난 건강에 좋은 음식을 저장시켜두고, 주교도 만나보고, 박물관 전시 책임자들의 이야기를 듣기 위해 박물관도 가보고 싶어. 근데 내 삶은 너무 애매해, 그래서 내 삶은 날 아프게해,” Biggy 가 그의 원통함을 보여주고자 자신의 가슴을 쿵쿵 치며 말했다.

“시간이 지나면 사람들이 너의 외침을 들어줄꺼야. 그때까지 열심히 살자, 알겠지?” Voca 가 말했다.
