“상원의원들은 우리 모두가 죽은 줄 알아서 이긴 줄 알고 우쭐댔지. 그들이 소위 말하는 “따분 한 일” 로 부터 해방되었기 때문에 너무 기뻐했어. 그래서 그 날 호화로운 파티를 열었지. 그 들 중에 한사람이 집에 가서 자위행위를 해야겠다고 말하는걸 들었어,” Voca 가 말했다.

“Do you even know what a concussion is? I don’t think you should use the word like that,” said Voca.

“I said this out of bravado,” said Biggy.

“Well, the crux is that I want to go read the synopsis,” said Voca.

“Ok, then I should do so too,” said Biggy.

“I must take my preemptive action and get the synopsis first,” said Voca as he ran as fast as he can.

“그래, 그럼 나도 그렇게 해야지,” 비기가 말했다.

“개요를 먼저 받기 위해선 선제의 행동을 해야겠어,” 보카가 최대한 빨리 달리며 말했다.

Weeks later, the boys went to go visit the town, because they wanted to go eat and jog.

While they were on their way back home with leftover food, they saw people paving the new road. The bricks were all jumbled up and surly construction workers were working hard to hoist the heavy bricks. Beyond the barricade, there were workers making the roof made of corrugated iron. When they walked past the construction site, they saw a flyer that said, “Interns needed: semantic research company”; because the boys had been interested in learning languages, they’d decided to try out for the internship.

몇 주 후, 소년들은 마을을 다시 찾았다. 왜냐하면 무언가를 먹고 조깅하고 싶었기때문이다. 남은 음식을 싸서 집에 가는 도중에 사람들이 새로운 길을 열고 있는것을 보았다. 벽돌들은 마구 뒤섞여 있었고 무례한 공사현장 인부들은 무거운 벽돌을 끌어 올리고 있었다. 바리케이드 넘어서는 물결모양의 쇠로 지붕을 만드는 인부들이 있었다. 공사장을 지나 소년들은 “인턴 구함: 의미론적인 연구를 하는 회사” 라고 적힌 전단지를 보았다. 언어를 배우는것에 관심이 있던 소년들은 이 인턴쉽에 지원해보기로 마음먹었다.
