To apply, they had to write a burlesque about a woman in a bun who loves to set up an alibi. The play could not be banal, but it could be an amalgam of various genres. Because the propitious company’s forte was a streamlined operation, everyone wanted to work for this company. Thus, the boys worked hard to embed beautiful sentences into their work. Procreation was always difficult.

지원하기 위해서는 우선 쪽찐 머리를 하고 알리바이를 내세우는것을 즐겨하는 여성에 대한 풍자시를 적어야했다. 연극은 지극히 평범해서는 안됬으나 여러가지 장르가 합쳐지는건 괜찮았다. 일을 하기에 좋은 이 회사의 강점은 능률적으로 운영이 되었기에 모두가 이 회사에서 일을하고싶어했다. 그래서 소년들은 아름다운 문장을 작품에 단단히 끼워넣기 위해 열심히 노력했다. 무언가를 만들어 낸다는것은 언제나 어려웠다.

The boys were so happy to imagine what would happen if they get the internship. They were sure that they would never be perturbed by anything. They can commute together, work in a building with a porch and a thatch roof, and see the steeple and comely patricians in their plaids! Also, they can talk with people about various subjects like dinosaur! On the other hand, because they heard rumors about people hijacking vehicles, they were a bit scared.

소년들은 자신들이 인턴쉽에 합격 했을 상상을 하며 너무 행복해했다. 그들은 그 무엇도 자기들을 뒤흔들어놓을 수 없다고 확신했다. 같이 통근하고, 현관과 짚으로 만든 지붕이 있는 건물에서 일을 하고, 뾰족탑도 보고 격자무니 천을 둘러 쓴 어여쁜 귀족들도 보고! 그리고 그들은 다른사람들과 공룡에 대해서나 여러가지에 대해서 이야기를 나눌 수 있었다. 그 반면에 사람들이 차량을 강탈한다는 소문을 듣고는 살짝 겁이났다.

In fact, the boys wanted to join the urban life!

그러나 그들은 빨리 이 퀴퀴한 냄새가 나는 집에서 벗어나 삶을 즐기고 싶었다. 아무리 다람쥐 쳇바퀴 같은 생활을 해야한다 할지라도. 그들은 당구장에 가서 목요일 저녁을 즐기고 싶었다; 그들은 직원들에게 많은 일을 시키는 지독한 CEO 를 직접 만나고 싶었다; 그들은 극악무도한 죄수들에 관한 이야기를 듣고싶었다; 그들은 현존하지 않는 공룡에 대해서 의견을 제기하고싶었다; 그들은 연통 가스 냄새를 맡아보고 싶었다; 그들은 깨끗한 화장실에서 소변을 보고 싶었다; 그들은 유모가 CEO 의 아이들을 돌보는 모습을 보고싶었다. 실제로, 소년들은 도시의 삶을 살아보고 싶었다.

“Not at all. Go throw away the rinds,” scolded Voca.

“I’m scared of the panthers!” exclaimed Biggy.

“내가 말하는거 간단히 메모해봐,” 비기가 말했다.

“이거 뭔데?” 보카가 얼굴을 찌푸리며 말했다.

“잘 들어봐. 만약 내가 인턴이 된다면 우리의 축하파티를 위해 박 하고 송아지 고기를 살께. 그 다음엔 내가 너에게 바치는 시를 써줄께. 그 다음엔 이 집을 수선하기 위해서 원기둥을 사러 갈꺼야. 내 말이 설득력 있게 들리니?” 비기가 물었다.

“아니, 전혀. 가서 과일 껍질이나 갖다 버려,” 보카가 꾸짖었다.

“나 검은 표범들 너무 무섭단말야!” 비기가 소리쳤다.
