Communicator's Journey

Biggest Snowstorm of the Year?

Listen Later

The Northeast could be seeing 2 feet of snow by the end of next week. This major snowstorm actually started as a low in the Northwest, bringing a foot of snow to the Cascades and Sierra Nevadas. Throughout mid-week, the system will move into the Southeast, producing severe thunderstorms and most likely flooding. Around Friday, the low will move up the East Coast and combine with another system that will be moving through the Midwest. Once these systems collide, they will form a kind of “superstorm” that could drop two feet of snow to parts of the Northeast.
