Wow! This got out late. Hope it's worth the wait.

This month we're joined by Brandon Cannon of Cycle Cats (@cycle.cats on Instagram) fine bike luggage and master repairer of cargo bikes. We also explore the world of Sacramento 311 and learn about how to use this important tool.

  • Kathy Jamieson

    Hey Bike Stuffies,

Sorry about the audio issues last episode. I've received help from someone who knows what they're doing and this episode should sound much better - aside from kitchen sounds (thanks again for the meal Troy and Cesar).

We're joined this month by Dr. Kathy Jamieson. Kathy studies the sociological realm of kinesiology. Don't know what that is. You will.

Mike spends some time rambling on about levels of government and their relation to each other while getting facts wrong here and there. Corinna puts up with it pretty well.

Join us for a group ride! 12PM, Saturday September 12th, meeting at Camellia Coffee on R and 12th

We forgot to ask listeners to share the show with their friends. This project is for all the Sac Foos who are are should be biking (so, like everyone). Let them know. Thanks.

    - The City of Sacramento hosts a free monthly class called Urban Bicycling and Scooting 101. It's a great introduction or refresher for people who bicycle and scoot on-street in Sacramento, and you don't need a bike or scooter to participate. This class also meets the requirements for the Sidewalk Bicycling Diversion Program*. The city offers both virtual and in-person classes, in English and Spanish. In the class, you will learn:
    Bicycling/scooting and the law
    Bicycling/scooting on the street
    Traveling through intersections
    Avoiding crashes
    How to enjoy the ride

  • Justine Recio-Patel, Public Engagement, and E-bike Killing Legislation

This one’s a little longer than future episodes will be, but we have a lot to share about a timely issue (i.e. bills designed to kill the shift from cars to e-bikes). Listen to it in chunks over the month if you have to. It’s worth it. You don’t want to miss our guest, Justine Recio-Patel.

  • Welcome to Bike Stuff

Meet the cohosts, Mike and Corinna, and learn about what they plan to do with this monthly podcast. This one is pretty free-form, but here's what you have to look forward to in future episodes:

    - Calendar of events and bike-related happenings in and around Sacramento, California

    - Bite-sized learning sessions about concepts and strategies you can use to get the Sacramento you want for you, your kids, and everyone else.

    - An interview with someone making moves that affect bike culture, be it organizing rides, making stuff, or advancing policy. This section is a journal, inspiration, and just plain fun.
