Advances in information technology

This is the first of what were called the "President's Internet Address," or the "Weekly Web Address." Later presidents would communicate with Americans much more regularly using the internet, but this was the first attempt at doing that. As far as I can tell, he only gave a few of these, throughout the summer and fall of that year.
