Building on our recent #BruteCast about drone swarms, #TeamKrulak is excited to welcome Col Bill Edwards, U.S. Army (retired) to open the aperture on the global security challenges presented by commercial drones. There are millions of commercial drones in private hands, they are a multi-billion dollar global industry, and their proliferation and use on fields of conflict by conventional armies and non-state actors alike are limited only by their imaginations. Col Edwards describes the challenges, countermeasures, and potential opportunities in this new security environment.
Bill Edwards is President of Federal and Public Safety at Building Intelligence, Inc. He retired from military service in 2017 and let Thornton Tomasetti's security consulting group as a Principal from 2017-2021. He has over 34 years of expertise in operational/technical security, counter terrorism, counter intellligence, surveillance and counter surveillance. He is also co-author of Inside Abu Ghraib: Memoirs of Two U.S. Military Intelligence Officers.
