Bill Malone has been operating trading posts in the Navajo Nation for more than 40 years. 

Around 13 years ago he opened Bill Malone Trading, his own shop in Gallup. 

I recorded this interview just a month after the passing of his Navajo wife of 62 years. 

I started as usual by asking how he got here.
