Through Bimini’s experiences, this episode takes a deeper look into the meaning of gender and the conversations that are happening to enable a greater understanding of the issues that affect the LGBTQ community and beyond. Bimini reflects on their working class upbringing and how their mum was a huge influence on their work ethic. They remember how the lack of understanding around gender and sexuality affected their experience as a teenager. Bimini talks about experiencing harassment which they attribute to others feeling intimidated because “society needs the binary.”
