Thirty years ago today, a little TV show called Friday the 13th the Series aired for the first time (…in Canada, it didn’t show up in the US till October 3.) It was scandalously gory and violent for network TV at the time, and ended up being nominated for several Emmys, and we adored it. We’d make lists of all the cursed objects we could remember, wear out our VHS copies (…shut up…) and write fanfiction (shut UP) where Micki and Ryan finally got together.
