This is another Bible verse that is often taken completely out of it's context and made to mean something entirely different than what it actually means. While Satan and spiritual warfare are a reality the Bible nowhere instructs believers to "bind Satan." A look at the context of the passages makes it very clear as to what "binding and loosing" means in these passages.
