BioLite just introduced a game-changer in home energy backup. If you thought battery packs were just for portable power stations sitting on your garage floor, think again—BioLite’s new system is designed to mount directly behind your refrigerator, keeping it running through outages or peak energy draw times.

BioLite’s modular system consists of sleek 3-kilowatt-hour lithium phosphate battery cells that can be daisy-chained together for expanded capacity. Each unit can provide 30 to 60 hours of backup power for a standard fridge, ensuring your food stays cold even if the grid goes down.

The Biolite battery mounts flush against the wall or behind appliances, it doesn’t take up valuable space in your home. And you can plug multiples for more power.

You can also affix to your bed frame, so your CPAP, your mattress or frame adjuster, your heating pad and more will run through the night without interruption. This could go almost anywhere you need emergency power in your home.

This BioLite system supports optional solar panel charging. While BioLite doesn’t manufacture the panels themselves, the ability to integrate them makes this an even more attractive option for long-term energy independence.

Plus, the $3,000 price tag per battery pack gets a boost from a 30% tax credit, bringing the cost down to $2,100.
