If more healthy pregnant women saw midwives instead of Obstetricians, would our maternal mortality rate be lower?

Jeanne Faulkner believes so and is advocating for a shift in how we approach birth in the United States.

Jeanne is an author, an editor, podcaster, registered nurse and mother of five. After working for 20 years as a labor and delivery nurse, Jeanne shifted her focus towards writing – addressing topics like women’s health, gender equality, politics, global maternal health, advocacy, parenting and feminism, to name a few.

On today’s episode, Jeanne is sharing her background as a labor and delivery nurse, what she’s learned throughout her career and the changes she wishes to see in our birth culture moving forward.
