Today we meet Jacob and Esau in Genesis 25 and wrestle with a powerful question: What are we willing to trade our birthright for? Esau exchanged a generational inheritance for temporary relief because he believed his hunger was more urgent than his future.

How often do we do the same? When we’re tired, discouraged, frustrated, or uncomfortable, it can be tempting to surrender what God promised for what feels good right now. But our calling, our inheritance, and our assignment in Christ are worth more than a moment of relief. It is our birthright to build.
