Passing away on this day in 2016, aged 68, was the legendary Johan Cruyff. As a player he is often listed alongside Pele, Maradona and Messi as the great footballers of all-time. Cruyff was the figurehead in Dutch football soaring to elite heights in the 1970s where they made two World Cup finals (1974, 1978) and innovated their Total Football philosophy. A legend of Ajax and Barcelona, as a coach his ideologies are still utilised today those two club's youth academies.
