Bitcoin of America executive Jenna Polinsky. These three ladies are blazing a trail for women investors and leaders in the male-dominated world of cryptocurrency and technology.
The all-female team of Miller (Chief Operating Officer), Gorodetsky (Director of Business Development) and Polinsky (Director of Marketing and Head of Tablet Sales) recently represented Bitcoin of America at the Bitcoin 2021 conference in Miami. Of course, they were some of the very few women at the conference and they were able to discuss the incredible growth of their company throughout the U.S.
Miller, Gorodetsky and Polinsky -- along with CEO Sonny Meraban -- have helped Bitcoin of America become one of the most rapidly expanding cryptocurrency vendors in America. After starting with one Bitcoin-buying ATM in Chicago in 2007 (Machine No. 109 in the world at the time), Bitcoin of America has grown to more than 1,100 ATM and tablet locations in 31 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. Also, BoA is one of just three vendors in the U.S. that has a tablet format where investors new to Bitcoin can talk through the process with a trained technician.
"Our CEO, Sonny Meraban, knows that the tech space is a male-dominated industry and he wanted to promote a female presence in the crypto sector," said Gorodetsky, who recently secured a meeting with Miami Mayor Francis Suarez and BoA executives to discuss the future of crypto in Miami and the company's growth potential in South Florida. "Not only do we have women in our company, we have women executives. Most of the other major Bitcoin operators have all men in their top-tier positions. So, Bitcoin of America is ahead of the game in that respect."
Here are some of the topics that Samantha Miller, Alice Gorodetsky and/or Jenna Polinsky could answer during a potential interview for a feature story:
What it's like to be a trailblazer for women in the male-dominated field of cryptocurrency.
