Mastering Disruption
  • In this episode, K. Ganesh talks about his book “Mastering Disruption”, a treatise on new-age business models. He compares the digital disruption era with traditional business models where there was a linear flow of value from producer to consumer, with economies of scale and efficiency playing a key role in profitability.
  • In the digital era, however, there has been a platformization of businesses, with an in-between platform simply connecting the producer to the consumer and making money in the process. This has augured huge changes, and more are on the way with Agentic AI making a real-world impact.
  • We are already seeing not only pay-per-use models but also outcome-based pricing. Businesses today must capitalise on current technologies and leverage new modes of value creation, such as engaging gig-workers and, where applicable, AI and Generative AI.
