Piers Morgan has wished Alex Beresford "good luck" after the pair clashed on Tuesday's Good Morning Britain, hours before he quit the show.. The 55-year-old confirmed he was leaving GMB after five years, amid an Ofcom investigation into his coverage of Oprah Winfrey's Meghan Markle interview.


State Sen. Liz Krueger, a prominent Democrat from Manhattan, also urged Cuomo to step down, saying: "Our state is rightly crying out for truthful, transparent government. The people's business is too pressing to continue to be derailed in this way."
Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie did not explicitly call for Cuomo to step down, but he said he shares Stewart-Cousins' "sentiment" about "the governor's ability to continue to lead this state."

Four officers were killed in a shooting while attempting to serve a warrant at a home in Charlotte, North Carolina, including one deputy US marshal and two local task force officers, authorities say.
A total of eight law enforcement officers were shot during the incident, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Chief Johnny Jennings said at a Monday evening news conference. He described the shooting as “the most tragic one” he had been involved with in his 32-year-long law enforcement career.
The shooting unfolded in the 5000 block of Galway Drive as members of the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force were serving a warrant for possession of firearm by a convicted felon, Jennings said.

Berklee College of Music's Signature Series will celebrate the power of gospel music at Gospel Extravaganza 2024 on Thursday, May 2, at 8:00 p.m. at the Berklee Performance Center.  Tickets for the seated event are available online and at the Berklee box office.

Directed by Dennis Montgomery III B.M. ’88, an associate professor in Berklee’s Ensemble Department, the concert will include a performance by Berklee’s Reverence Gospel Choir and Overjoyed, and will feature a special guest performance by Bishop Hezekiah Walker, a two-time Grammy Award–winning gospel singer, composer, and choir leader. 
Gospel Extravaganza 2024 will also mark the second year of the Berklee Gospel Music Hall of Fame induction of several individuals who have made a lasting impact on gospel music and culture. Hosted by Africana Studies Visiting Scholar in Residence and the inaugural inductee, Dr. Teresa Jackson, this year’s inductees include Bishop Walker, who is a visiting artist-in-residence with the Africana Studies Division this academic year. Reverend Dr. Milton Biggham, a songwriter, producer, singer, pastor; Berklee alumna Lisa Harrigan ‘83, the founder of Berklee’s Reverence Gospel Choir; and Ms. Evelyn D. Lee, an educator and founder of the Voices of Renaissance Chorus, will also be inducted into the Berklee Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
