<p>There was a vibrant communist movement from the 1920s thru the 1940s. Some of our cousins were a part of that movement in their struggle for freedom. Context is paramount. There was no interest in overthrowing the government or the American way of life.</p>
<p>They were just trying to overthrow Jim Crow and all of the nasty conditions that went along with it.</p>
