Black Girls Code says yes to Microsoft, plus Slack and Lantern

Black Girls Code, an Oakland organization that works to bring computer science education to African American girls through workshops and camps, said it got a $125,000 grant offer from Uber last year — and turned it down. It came at a time when the ride-hailing company was facing backlash from former engineer Susan Fowler’s allegations that the company had a culture of sexual harassment.
