Listen Later

In 2012, Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas became the first African American in history to win the individual all-around event. She also won gold medals for the U.S. in the team competitions at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics. Also at the 2016 Olympics, then 19-year-old Simone Biles made her debut. As the winner of 30 Olympic and World Championship medals and the only woman to hold seven all-around U.S. championship titles, she is currently the most decorated U.S. gymnast.
