Black History Month 2023

Listen Later

Happy Black History Month! Vincent and Demond take over this month, and we all share our thoughts on Black History.  Vincent begins with the origins of Black History, and where it is now.
Demond shares the story of Bessie Coleman, who was not only a trailblazer and eyebrow raiser, she was a real-life superhero because she’s one of the first of us to really fly, as the first African-American woman to earn her pilot's lessons.
Vincent then educates us with an introduction to African Traditional Religions and pays honor to abolitionists that came before us.
We finish with the amazing story of one of the greatest lawmen from the Old West, the incomparable Bass Reeves
