Christ Central Church is celebrating Black History Month by reading portions of Letter From Birmingham Jail by Martin Luther King Jr. On April 16, 1963 King responded to a public statement from 8 white Alabama clergymen who asked King to use more appropriate measures to protest segregation. They asked him to slow down his efforts, to not be extreme, and to use the courts for their grievances.
