TCN Talks

Black History Month and DEIB

Listen Later

In this podcast, Chris interviews Marisette Hasan, CEO with Lifesprings Consulting Group.  In honor of Black History month, Chris and Marisette start with why it is important for all Americans and hospice and palliative care team members to know and reflect upon Black History.  Marisette then shares some of her heroes from Black History.  What she shared was inspiring!

Chris and Marisette discussed Diversity, Equity, Inclusivity, and Belonging (DEIB) and why hospice and palliative care organizations need to have this on their top priority list.  Marisette also shared some thoughts regarding some longer-term strategies hospices should be considering for their DEIB journey.  There is an eight to ten minute segment here that you will want to listen to over and over again especially for your own organization’s DEIB strategy pathway.  This is a great discussion chock-full of great wisdom and practical steps hospice and palliative care teams and DEIB committees can utilize to focus and accelerate their organizations’ journey.  Join us.
