Her dissertation provides alternatives and possibilities based on the politics of refusal of Black women K-12 educators. She served students and families as a teacher and Community School Director in New York City Public Schools. She also taught at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture's Junior Scholars Program. Black is the color of joy and the birthright of Black women and girls.
