Oh Tell Me More:

.... Black Joy in Ordinary and Revolutionary Ways

Listen Later

This week, we’re doing things a little differently. As you may know, June 19th is a holiday for many Black Americans known as Juneteenth, which is a celebration of when the news of the Emancipation Proclamation finally arrived in Galveston, Texas on June 19, 1865 (yes, TWO YEARS after it had been signed!). Because it is a holiday that is all about liberation and Black joy, Sara sat this episode out and let Ty, Kathleen, and Ashia take us on a whole journey. We hope you enjoy learning about Kathleen and Ashia’s enneagram numbers, their pop culture majors, and all their thoughts about Juneteenth.
