Black Like Me by John Howard Griffin is about Griffin recounting his journey in the Deep South of the US at a time when Negros lived under racial segregation. He had his skin temporarily darkened to pass as a black man, while he traveled for six weeks through many southern states to explore life from the other side of the color line.
