Four years ago, a project in Jackson, Mississippi, was celebrated as a beacon of Black excellence. It was meant to transform the old Golf World site in North Jackson into a thriving Black-owned drive-in movie theater and mini-golf youth complex. Unfortunately, this ambitious venture has yet to come to fruition. Today, the site remains abandoned, serving inadvertently as a dumping ground for the city's waste.
