Yasssss *snaps* *snaps* to the shows featuring and centering black folks and black women! We love to see it. With Insecure, Harlem, Run the world, and many other shows making it onto the small screen, it has been so reaffirming to see black relationships and friendships evolve. These shows do a great job depicting the ebbs and flows of any relationship, be it romantic or friendly. Seeing this got us thinking about our friend circle. The ups and the downs, when is it time to let go? When has a relationship run its course? Was it “you” that was overreacting? Did you cause the end of the friendship? Or were “you” unfriended and uninvited from the cookout, in this case brunch. Get into our personal experiences of “canceling” a friendship.
