When interest rates were near zero, banks loaded up on long-dated, seemingly low-risk Treasuries. But as the Fed raises interest rates to fight inflation, the value of those assets has fallen, leaving banks sitting on unrealized losses:  Allison morrow of CNN wrote. On March 10, 2023

Higher rates hit tech especially hard, undercutting the value of tech stocks and making it tough to raise funds, Moody’s chief economist Mark Zandi said. That prompted many tech firms to draw down the deposits they held at SVB to fund their operations.
All this is the writing on the walls. As investors the storm is coming get your investments and risk in your portfolio under control.  Look at the assets your bank holds on its balance sheets to try to identify toxic assets on there books before its to late. Tony G is civil engineer by trade and while he was getting his degree he started playing poker at UMASS. He uses his math and science background to understand and excel in the predominate white male game of poker. He started with college games then as a adult he started playing again locally.
