Black Wall Podcast

Well you know here on the Black Wall podcast we keep it objective raw and real and this conversation was just that. I been thinking about this conversation from the moment it was booked. Mica is a force and I personally love it. She it a true self driven hustler. Her brain is hard wired as a CEO. She teaches me  thinks about real estate finance option I never know about so thank you Mica! It gets spicy a few times but that's the nature of business talks sometime. KANSAS CITY MISSOURI STOOD UP in this episode. Thank you Mica again for bringing the knowledge to the wall.

This another special surprise BIRTHDAY episode not for me but our guest. We have Johari talking  the business of community building and mentorship. He also shatters the myth of the broke activist. His company is for profit, but  is still honest and serving the people first! He talks grant writing, on the ground community clean up and so so much more. We also take a trip or 2 down memory lane and thank you to everyone that we talked up we love y'all. He shows the importance of staying and reaching back. We can't talk making $$$$$ without talk about the most import investment, our community. He caught he off my square once so listen its raw and responsible like only black wall can do.
P.s SMILES I LOVE U BOY STAY UP KEEP PUSHING CANT DO THIS MARATHON WITHOUT U LOVE IS PAIN.

This attitude and mindset was given to me in the city of angels in 2010. The background of the story could have easily made me miss the diamond mine of knowledge I was with. Thank you to the brother who shared the knowledge I appreciate it. Wish I knew your name. Also thx to my son’s mamas brother Wally I appreciate the time and we will always be and are still family and y’all know how that sh*t go.

We have our first queen on the show!!!!!!
Detroit STAND UP!!!!!! This episode we give the flowers to the women in the construction and investment space. The conversation was great… everything from highway building to corvette racing flipping houses just to name a few. There is a huge jewel, gem dropped at the end. My head is still spinning from all the game she dropped. The Detroit hustle is real. She also drives a big black ram pickup.. she is the truth… Asia D is a true wealth of knowledge. She also share step by step how to start with your last stacks.  She gives renovation hacks. I can go on and on. Bottom line she is amazing.

SPECIAL INVESTOR ALERT WARNING!!!
When interest rates were near zero, banks loaded up on long-dated, seemingly low-risk Treasuries. But as the Fed raises interest rates to fight inflation, the value of those assets has fallen, leaving banks sitting on unrealized losses:  Allison morrow of CNN wrote. On March 10, 2023

Higher rates hit tech especially hard, undercutting the value of tech stocks and making it tough to raise funds, Moody’s chief economist Mark Zandi said. That prompted many tech firms to draw down the deposits they held at SVB to fund their operations.
All this is the writing on the walls. As investors the storm is coming get your investments and risk in your portfolio under control.  Look at the assets your bank holds on its balance sheets to try to identify toxic assets on there books before its to late. FDIC insurance only cover 250k so spread your money. WORDS TO THE WISE!!!!!!!! STAY DANGEROUS & FOCUSED.

This episode is a look into how I learned to count money on the streets and how I used that math in investing. I talk about BEING ROBBED. Learning the value of money FROM THAT ROBBERY. I also talk about how the street life has skill sets that can translate into other legal spaces. Rent collection is really NOT SO DIFFERENT then street collection if we being honest.
